Our Staff

Our speech-language pathologists (SLPs) hold a Master's degree in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, have the appropriate state licensures, and are certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). In addition, our SLPs maintain a high level of expertise via participation in continuing education through professional conferences and workshops throughout the year.
 

Patricia A. Moroney, M.A., CCC-SLP, Director

Patti earned her M.A. at Western Washington University, followed by six years of Ph.D.-level research in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Washington. Prior to opening NWLLS in 1992, she worked in various school districts and hospitals, including serving as Program Manager of the Speech Pathology program at Children's Hospital in Seattle. Patti has extensive experience providing assessment and intervention for children and adults with neurologically-based language learning disabilities, neurological impairments, and emotional or psychiatric disturbances. She collaborates extensively with neurologists, neuropsychologists, psychologists, and other health and education professionals in the Pacific Northwest. Patti's primary objective is to help each client achieve his or her highest potential. In her free time, Patti enjoys spending time with her husband, practicing yoga, and taking her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Ozzy, for long walks.
 
 

Jamie Staniewicz, M.A., CCC-SLP, Program Manager - New Horizon

Jamie earned her M.A. from the University of Central Florida and joined our staff in 2011. She brought a wealth of experience in early childhood education and speech/language disorders to our practice, and has achieved a high level of proficiency in treatment and evaluation of language-based learning disabilities for the school-age and adult populations. Her professionalism, patience, and caring for her clients go beyond the norm. From 2013-2022, Jamie served as Program Manager of our office on the campus of New Horizon School. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys reading, learning to sew, playing with her dog and cat, and relaxing with her husband and daugher.

Jennifer Kranz Brown, Office Manager

After earning a B.A. in French from Lawrence University in Wisconsin, Jennifer held a variety of positions in office administration and early childhood development prior to joining NWLLS in 1999. She enjoys working with the staff to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and our clients receive the highest level of customer service. Jennifer spends her free time visiting family in Chicago, enjoying her nieces and nephews, learning to play the ukulele, and relaxing with her husband and cats.
