As the director of Northwest Language and Learning Services, I am
saddened to report that we will be closing our physical clinic presence
at 1808 East Union Street. For the last 21 years, we have helped many
different learners develop skills that are necessary, increase
confidence, and improve thinking and speaking. I have been a
speech-language pathologist for almost 40 years because I love to see
the empowerment that develops with better communication and the pride
that comes with better skills in school, work, or society. Our team with
Lindsay Robillard, M.S., CCC-SLP, Jamie Staniewicz, M.A., CCC-SLP, and
our office manager, Jennifer Kranz Brown, love what we were able to
create.
We have adapted over the last four months to develop a
virtual therapeutic environment as effective at addressing the same
social, communicative, and academic challenges as we provided in the
past. This pandemic has changed how we work but not what we do. We have
decided to continue as a new version of NWLLS using a telepractice
platform.
We are excited at the possibilities this new platform will bring. Stay tuned for more information on our evolution.
